TWO WEEK PERFORMANCE CAMP FOR YOUTH & TEENS 

(Grades 5-9)

 This ain't your great, great, great, great, great grandma's Shakespeare!  Join us for this intensive romp along the bayou with the bard as we cast and stage one of his most famous plays in just two engaging weeks! 

COMEDY, COMBAT & CHARACTER will collide this summer, as we rehearse and perform the bard's classic tragedy turned comedy: ROMEO & JULIET or The Old "You-know-I-really-love-you-but-my-father-really-hates-you-blues", adapted by Nancy Linehan Charles of PCPA!

Told through the comical lens of three young narrators and set in the deep south, our stylized story will expose young actors to: 

• Shakespearean language & history
• Body Movement, Dance & Stage Combat
• Voice & Speech
• Physical Comedy & Improvisation
• Acting Theory & Characterization
• Stagecraft and more! 

Open to students entering 5th-9th grades. 

*Please note: Camp includes an introduction to Staged Swordplay, Unarmed Combat, Body Movement & Stagecraft (students will build sets and props for performance). As always, we will play games, complete challenges and make new friends as we rehearse.

Monday thru Friday; 1 pm-4 pm

Performance 6/27; 1pm-4 pm & 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
